Clayton J Hawkins

MBA, GCertAEMgt, AdDipMgmt

 

Clayton is the Project Advisor for TigerHawk Consulting. He has worked for local government, in private enterprise and owned an operated two small businesses and is now a Lecturer and Degree Coordinator with the University of Tasmania's Institute for Regional Development as well as a PhD Candidate. He is also a published poet, a professional musician and an elected local government representative (Waratah-Wynyard).

 

Clayton's expertise in the areas of community & cultural development, grant writing, sport & recreation, tourism, arts & entertainment, project & event management, strategic planning and community safety makes for a strong team with Cherie.

 

Clayton is a multi-award winning practicioner having won national and state recognition for his Who's DES Tonight? program. He sits on Arts Tasmania's Assistance to Organisations Panel, the Amplified Festival Advisory Committee; the Cradle Coast Young Professionals Network Committee and is the 2006 winner of the Amplified Outstanding Contribution to Original Tasmanian Music Award.

 

Clayton has sat on the Premier's Physical Activity Council's Local Goverment Advisory Group, Tasmanian Music Industry Association (TasMusic) board, Women's Cricket Tasmania board and the Cradle Coast Authority's Recreation Advisory Group as well as numerous committees and boards covering issues and interests such as community safety, recreation facility management and planning, history, arts management, festival management, land use planning, education and training and positive ageing.
